that's most likely implementation-specific. A client might access the files on startup, on scheduling the torrent or only when it actually has to upload any data from them.

@Ramhound the file in the host was fixed-size, pre-allocated and no snapshots. So as long as flush translates to fsync the data should reliably make it to disk.
